TikTok collaborates with Kenya to ensure content aligns with established standards, as President William Ruto and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew pledge to maintain appropriate and community-friendly content through rigorous monitoring.

This partnership also entails the establishment of a Kenyan office to oversee operations and bolster local employment opportunities.

The popular short-form video hosting platform, TikTok, has forged a collaboration with Kenya to enhance the review and monitoring of its content. The initiative, championed by President William Ruto, aims to foster adherence to predefined content guidelines.

During a virtual meeting, TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew affirmed the platform’s commitment to maintaining a moderated and community-aligned content space. In line with this commitment, steps will be taken to expunge inappropriate or offensive content from the platform, ensuring a safe and enjoyable user experience.

In an endeavor to strengthen its presence and operations within the African continent, TikTok has further committed to establishing a Kenyan Office. This dedicated office will serve as a hub for coordinating activities and ensuring efficient operations.
