Ezra Chiloba, the Director General of the Communication Authority of Kenya (CA), has been suspended, with Christopher Wambua taking on the role of Acting Director General, as announced by board chair Mary Mungai.
In a significant development, Ezra Chiloba, who held the position of Director General at the Communication Authority of Kenya (CA), has been suspended from his duties. This decision was formally conveyed following a board meeting, as stated in a communication by board chair Mary Mungai.
In light of this suspension, Christopher Wambua has been appointed to serve as the Acting Director General. Mungai’s statement, issued on Monday, the 18th of September 2023, read, “Following a meeting of the Authority’s Board held on 18th September 2023, resulting in the suspension of the Director General, I am pleased to inform all staff of the appointment of Mr. Christopher Wambua as Director General in an Acting Capacity effective today until further notice. I trust that you will accord him the necessary support.”
