Dorcas Agik Oduor has made history by being sworn in as Kenya’s first female Attorney General.
The ceremony took place at the State House in Nairobi, with President William Ruto presiding.

Dorcas Oduor’s legal career spans over three decades, holding degrees in Law and International Conflict Management from the University of Nairobi. Before this appointment, she served as Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, heading the Economic, International, and Emerging Crimes Departments. She is recognized for her integrity and legal expertise.
Oduor has significantly contributed to key legal reforms, including prosecuting complex economic crimes, advocating for anti-corruption measures, promoting access to justice, and modernizing the Attorney General’s office. Her experience positions her as a pivotal figure in advancing Kenya’s legal framework.
